Shutter Island soundtrack is a great combination of classic music and 60's kind of music.
The movie itself is about strange things happened in prison on an island. Do not expect this double CD set find itself on a party desk. However songs like Johnnie Ray's 'Cry' or Max Richter's 'On The Nature Of Daylight' rather romantic and make this CD a little bit lighter.
Most of the songs are performed by various symphony orchestras and track length varies from 5 to 11 minutes. This fact makes this CD suitable for background music.
